This is especially true for beginners who are unsure whether to cut or bulk and usually don’t even have a program that focuses on muscle growth. They spend a lot of time doing cardio or circuit training which ultimately leads them to lose muscle while in a calorie deficit. And then, we have a lot of confusion, especially around being in a calorie surplus and gaining body fat while building muscle. Many guys are afraid to lean bulk or gain any weight, which also ends up limiting their muscle gaining potential.
