Dateline Philippines: State medical insurer PhilHealth clarifies Filipinos are not required to present a causality assessment in claiming compensation for adverse effects of COVID-19 vaccines. PhilHealth spokesperson Dr. Shirley Domingo says members have the option of attaching their own causality assessment or have Health Department experts make the assessment. Under PhilHealth’s indemnification policy, Filipinos who will be hospitalized, develop a permanent disability, or die as a side effect of vaccination may receive up to a hundred thousand pesos.
