Juicing Essentials + Celery Juice Recipe –

Juicing has been a vital part of my plant-based lifestyle for over 10 years now. I learned about juicing as part of a detox I was trying and I loved how it made my body feel so much that it eventually became an everyday part of my routine and diet. I started out with a Breville juicer and when that died on me last year I decided to upgrade to a Nama juicer.

Why did I upgrade to the Nama J2 Juicer?

My Breville juicer was a centrifugal juicer which means it uses high speed spinning blades to separate the juice from the fruits and vegetables. While it technically did the job, the juice it creates oxidizes more quickly than cold pressed juice. That means in order to get the most nutrients, I needed to juice every day and drink the juice while it was freshly made. I’ll admit, washing your fruits and vegetables and cleaning the machine afterwards is a labor of love but doing that every day…that is ALOT! So when it came time to upgrade I was ready to invest in a cold pressed juicer. Cold pressed juice is extracted with slow pressure and is able to get more of the nutrients, vitamins and phytonutrients from the fruit and vegetables. It also minimizes the oxidation which good news babes – it allows you to store the juice for up to 72 hours! Babes, this was a GAME CHANGER!

What I love about my Nama J2 Juicer:

Now that I’ve been using my juicer for about 10 months I can confidently say that I’m super happy with my purchase. Here’s what I love:
