Dateline Philippines: State medical insurance provider PhilHealth clarifies Filipinos are not required to present a causality evaluation in claiming payment for negative impacts of COVID-19 vaccines. PhilHealth representative Dr. Shirley Domingo states members have the option of connecting their own causality assessment or have Health Department professionals make the evaluation. Under PhilHealth’s indemnification policy, Filipinos who will be hospitalized, establish a permanent disability, or die as a side effect of vaccination might get up to a hundred thousand pesos.
