Teen Who Had Heart Attack After Pfizer Vaccine: ‘&#821…

An 18-year-old from Springdale, Arkansas, who had a cardiac arrest after getting his second dosage of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine said he ‘d rather get COVID than have a cardiac arrest.

In an interview with The Defender, Isaiah Harris said he got his first dosage of Pfizer on April 8 and second dosage on April 30. Within 12 hours of the 2nd dosage, the teen developed a fever and chills. His dad, Justin Harris, didn’t think much about it initially due to the fact that he got sick after both dosages of the Moderna vaccine, but his signs weren’t severe.

That wasn’t the case for Isaiah. Within 48 hours of the second dose, Isaiah’s heart began hurting “extremely extremely bad” and things started going downhill quick. Harris stated they grew truly concerned when their child started having difficulty breathing.

“We took him to the health center but they didn’t take him seriously,” Harris stated. “We waited in the waiting room for over two hours and then they left him in a hallway for 6 hours. Things went from bad to worse while waiting in the healthcare facility. That’s when he had his cardiovascular disease and one of his lungs filled up with fluid.”

Harris said it wasn’t up until his partner– who was the only one enabled with Isaiah in the corridor due to COVID limitations– informed the staff several times her kid was having a heart attack that they put him in a space and ran the EKG.

Isaiah’s EKG was abnormal and his numbers kept getting worse. At one point, 80% of Isaiah’s heart was swollen and only 40% was functioning. Isaiah’s troponin levels were so high physicians said he had suffered a cardiovascular disease.

“Doctors kept denying it was the vaccine,” Harris said. “They didn’t wish to say it was that. Then a nurse brought in a study revealing the vaccine could cause myocarditis.”

Myocarditis is swelling of the heart muscle that can result in cardiac arrhythmia and death. According to scientists at the National Organization for Rare Disorders, myocarditis can result from infections, but “more typically the myocarditis is an outcome of the body’s immune response to the initial heart damage.”

Isaiah was hospitalized for 4 days for “intense myocarditis,” Harris said. “Doctors were saying six months of overall bed rest with medications to numb his heart. That’s when I got a hold of the cosmetic surgeon general of Arkansas and he provided us the link to VAERS since the health center didn’t do anything.”

VAERS is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Vaccine Adverse Reaction Reporting System.

Harris stated he is bothered that the CDC is “passing this off” and “isn’t doing comprehensive research study into this.”
